Links are a very powerful aspect and acquiring strong links, with high authority, can help move the needle and push a company website up the search rankings. The more authority a website has online, the more valuable the link becomes. An example could be when a smaller company receives a link on a very big companies powerful website. The big company sharing the link to the smaller company will be giving the smaller company SEO link juice. Juice is the word that is used to refer to who is gaining the most from the link. There are two kinds of links. There are do-follow and no-follow links. In order to gain the SEO benefit from a link, a do-follow link must be obtained. No-follow links do not help in SEO efforts.

There are several ways to help a website rise in search rankings. Below there are a number of ways to enhance off-page SEO.

1. Mention Brands

Brand mentions are how many times a brand is talked about online. Each time a company is mentioned online, signals are sent through the wide world web and search engines pick up on these signals, which help determine page rank and more. A few years back, a website needed nothing more than strong content and some backlinks, however, technology moves fast and now brand mentions are important in SEO efforts. Building a social media presence and engaging with customers is a great way to send extra off-page SEO signals to search engines. Answering customer questions is a valuable action that builds trust with customers and authority with search engines.

2. Comment On Blogs

Leaving comments on blogs that included a link back to a company’s website was very effective until Google realized it was being abused. After Google made the algorithm updates to squash these not useful links’ effectiveness, they became less relevant. However, engaging in the correct blogs and sharing real information can help build a relationship with the blog owner as well as other commenters.

3. Forum Engagement

Nobody understands a product as well as the people who are creating or selling the product. Get involved in forum threads and solve the problems others are struggling with. Google algorithms really like when questions are posed and then answered. In order to get the most out of the engagement, be certain to create a signature that identifies the company, using a link when possible. Spend time in forums that allow do-follow links.

4. Influencers

Influencers are helping brands to get discovered. Engage people online with a well-written article and look for influencers who might work well with the company product. Ask for a review, quote, or feedback from the influencer and highlight this everywhere possible. Using an influencer’s reach to their followers can help push the influencer to new levels while increasing the company authority as well.

5. Find Broken Links To Replace

Finding broken links online is a great way to find suitable link replacements that can propel off-page SEO. After finding a broken link, reach out to the owner of the page and offer a high-quality link that can replace the broken link. By supplying a great article to the website owner, while also alerting the owner of a broken link, odds go up that the new article will be accepted in the place of the broken link.

6. Social Networking

Provide content and engage with potential clients and clients in any way that is possible. In today’s world, social media is a great way to increase off-page SEO efforts. When social media users engage with content they may comment, like, and share the content. The sharing of the information will send signals to search engines and may increase overall authority while also placing the brand in front of more eyes. Create engaging text, images, and video to connect with consumers and to bring solutions. Answer any and all questions that arrive via social networks. Share content in as many places as possible, casting the widest net possible.

Conclusion

SEO efforts are a very important effort in today’s world of online competition. On-page and off-page SEO is necessary to push a company onto the first page of search engines. Be sure to optimize everything for SEO efforts to help raise a website’s authority and ranking within search engines pushing the website to the top of search engines.
